My Story

My name is Md Masum Pramanik and I come from a small village called Banpara, Kalikapur in Baraigram upazila of Natore. Since my childhood, I had a strong desire to become an entrepreneur and do something on my own. After completing my secondary education, I established a coaching center with some friends, but I was not fully satisfied with it.

In 2013, I got the opportunity to study computer science at Pabna Polytechnic Institute, and I knew then that I wanted to build my career in the field of computers. After completing my diploma in computer science, I got admission in Uttara University where I graduated in Computer Science and Engineering.

In 2014, I started freelancing on a website called Dolancer, and I had to pay 5000 BDT to get a new account. Initially, I started with one account and gradually increased to multiple accounts with all my savings. Unfortunately, I lost everything to a fake company and sank into despair. However, I did not give up and started researching on search engine optimization to re-skill myself. I was successful there and started freelancing again on the sites like Fiber, Upwork, and specialized in search engine optimization, technical services, and web design.

It was in 2017 when I decided to start a digital marketing agency with a new zeal and a team. I wanted to give something back to society by helping young people become entrepreneurs like myself. The beginning was difficult, but I did not stop. Instead, I gave courage to my team, and we started our company called Story IT. Today, we have 16 young people working with us who want to become entrepreneurs themselves.

From 2018 to 2020, we implemented 250 projects on Upwork, 200 on Fiverr, and 100 local projects. Currently, we are also working outside the marketplace with Canadian agency CNS, American agency Bright House, and Australian agency Vet SEO. In addition, we have more than 20 affiliate and Adsense sites.

I still remember the first day I earned five dollars. I used to go to my profile about five times a day and check the reviews to see how many dollars have been added. It has been a challenging journey, but I am grateful for every experience as it has helped me grow both professionally and personally.

My advice to young people who are starting in the IT sector is to stick to one thing and keep pushing forward. Success is not always immediate, but with perseverance and hard work, anyone can achieve their goals.
